The delegation of the Department of Linguistics and Translation from City University of Hong Kong, consisting of the department head Prof. Liu Meijun, Dr. Fang Chengyu and Dr. Jie Chunyu, visited our school on November 20th. The school dean, prof. Xiang, provided a warm reception to the guests. Dr.Su Heng, Dr.Qian Duoxiu, Dr. Dong Min, and Prof. Wei Naixing also attended the meeting.

During the visit, both sides held a productive discussion on academic and educational matters relating to the exchange of students and staff, joint supervision of graduate and doctoral students, and research cooperation in various fields under the assigned agreements.

Early in October, Prof. Wei and Dr. Dong had a successful visit to the Department of Linguistics and Translation in CUHK. Therefore, this return visit, which has enhanced and deepened cooperation of both sides, will surely contribute to our school’s cultivation of internationalized talents and the further development of global communication and cooperation in related fields.
